Despite its small size, the Finger Lakes Yacht Club is quite active during the boating season. We typically have a social event at least once a month between May and October. In addition to social activities, we have a well-developed racing program that gets our sailors out on the water roughly every other weekend. The Watkins Glen community fills in the remaining weekends with various festivals and events that make for a full season of activities that will provide you with an excuse to visit the marina.
The Club also publishes a bi-monthly newsletter throughout the year. Copies of the current and prior issues are available elsewhere on this web site.
In addition, the Club enjoys a close relationship with the Finger Lakes Chapter of America's Boating Club (also known as the United States Power Squadrons). The local chapter is very active in providing boater education, ranging from getting your New York State Boater Safety Card all the way up to learning celestial navigation. The best part is that FLYC members are eligible for discounts on all of these courses!
